Andhra Pradesh Motor Sports Club

Andhra Pradesh motor sports club (APMSC) is an automobile racing association in the state of Andhra Pradesh, India which was established in 1977. Mr. Atma Jayaram IPS, DGP of police Andhra Pradesh State, was the first president and Mr.M adhu Kotak was secretary. The Club has participated in Gymkhana and TSD Rallies up until 1982, when the “Charminar Challenge” concept was established.

The club has been organising rallies which took the team to Maharashtra, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh. The president then was Mr. Ali Mohd. and secretary being Ms. Dinaz Viccajee. The club participated all over India. The notable teams were Kiran Mody and team and the Pestonjee Viccajee team. The next president was Mr. Pestonjee and Dinaz was the secretary. Later Mr. Vinay Asar took over events that were conducted until 2004.

The club started conducting events in frequent intervals from 2008 onwards, and tied up with new partners and sponsors. Drag racing was introduced in Andhra Pradesh by events named as "Deccan Quarter Mile Drag [DQMD]".[1] [2]

The present President is Dr. I Venkat Rao and the Secretary being Mr. Srikanth Araza.
